Jenna has extensive experience representing clients in complex commercial real estate transactions including leasing, financing, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, syndications, operations, and real estate development. Jenna regularly advises developers and property owners in the purchase, sale, and development of commercial real estate, including retail buildings, shopping centers, office buildings, ground-up development, multifamily and mixed-use projects, and hotel and restaurant hospitality transactions. She represents commercial landlords and tenants in the preparation, negotiation, modification and assignment of office and retail leases. In addition, Jenna’s practice includes representing developers and property owners in the drafting and negotiation of adject party access agreements, representing clients during due diligence periods in investigating New York City specific rent regulatory compliance matters, as well as representing clients on the formation and structuring of joint ventures and syndications.
Prior to joining Cohen Law Firm, Jenna served as in-house counsel and Director of Marketing for a New York City based real estate development and investment firm. Jenna also served as an attorney at a boutique real estate law firm based in New York City, where she represented building owners and tenants in litigation before the New York Civil Courts, including prosecuting and defending clients in nonpayment proceedings, holdover proceedings, complex matters related to rent stabilization, various aspects of administrative law and hearings, specifically in matters related to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, Rent Guidelines Board, Division of Housing and Community Renewal, as well as all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.
