Ms. Aguilera specializes in business and real estate transactions with a focus on the purchase and sale of companies and assets. Her experience includes the formation of business entities, business structuring, corporate governance, reorganizations, and dissolutions.
Ms. Aguilera advises clients to navigate issues that arise in day-to-day business operations and guides them through corporate transactions, general corporate matters, and regulatory compliance. She drafts, reviews, and negotiates complex business contracts for clients, which include commercial and residential leases.
She serves the comprehensive real estate transactional needs of clients with particular emphasis on land use and real estate development on both residential and commercial projects.
Prior to joining Cohen Law Firm, Maribel was a partner at Kirk & Simas where she helped clients resolve issues in business operations, corporate transactions, and real estate development.
Prior to becoming an attorney, she worked for energy companies as a business development land manager where she developed unique skills in title work, due diligence, mineral assets, and natural resource law.
